10 Reasons to Book a Yacht Week on Canary Islands

It may be said that this is an exotic and luxurious vacation option, but in fact, it is a very interesting experience, which is actually quite budget.
It is important to note that on such trips you do not need to rent an apartment – you pay at the same time for a place to sleep, for entertainment and for transport.

On the yacht there are 7-12 people at the same time (depending on the yacht), you also save a lot on food. It is very convenient because you yourself think over the menu, and the products are purchased based on the preferences of each member of the yacht week.
Of course, you can always stop at the marina and eat at a restaurant, rent a car and go exploring the islands.

4. Feel the waves

At least once in your life, you should feel it – sleep in the cabin, cook right on the yacht, drink Lambrusco and sunbathe on the snow-white deck while swaying on the waves.

5. Fly over Adehe

Flying in a steam plane is an unforgettable experience. Even if you are afraid of heights, I advise you to go through this. The most terrible thing is a run-up from a cliff, but this is only a couple of seconds. And then you just float in the air under the guidance of an instructor.

Feeling as if you are just riding the lift – no sudden movements, sheer pleasure! The flight takes about 30 minutes – you feel like a bird and enjoy the unreal view from above.

6. Watch marine residents

Look around carefully!
Dolphin couples, turtles and whale families are near at the most unexpected moment. It is important not to scare them, they are often very friendly and they circle around the yacht for a long time.

It’s amazing how such plants hit Canary Mars.

8. Learn to drive a yacht

Feel yourself a captain!
Standing at the helm, straightening the sails and adjusting them at the right angle is a real skill! But if there is an experienced skipper nearby, you will quickly learn how to sail.
Very often after such trips, people fall in love with yachting and go to professional training.

9. Take a step over the abyss

If you rent a car, be sure to visit the Abrante Mirador restaurant on the top of the mountain. Here you can drink coffee, eat dessert and stroll over the precipice.
The transparent glass floor looks intimidating but absolutely safe.

10. Visit the pirate village Mask

Unfortunately, since 2018, the entrance to the gorge of Mask is closed after an accident during a storm. Nevertheless, I still advise you to come to the village of Mask and tick the list.
